Can anyone suggest to me how i can go about doing this? Whats the best way to get my pictures to galleries or online galleries? and any websites of such...I live in Melbourne Australia, and looking for galleries in Melb. Please help....(professional photographers based in Melbourne, gallery owners... your input is highly welcome!) thanks!

1I've been thinking about this myself. I think the first step might be to enter some local/smallish photo contests. If you can get some "resume" material out of that, you might be able to get up on the walls somewhere they'll let you note pricing and contact info. You could also, of course, start your own web site to sell.
One other thing to note, there are lots of very small "galleries" out there as part of other venues -- i.e. I heard of a cafe that put up shows. I think digging that info up would be very helpful but it's not really something you can find on the net. I think networking with friends and family might be a good way to tap into other's info. Oh, and don't forget, there's got to be photography chat rooms out there somewhere.
I guess that's it for my ideas. I've actually come up with a couple new ones I hadn't thought of before.
