Digital photography....is the "image stabilzer" lens worth the price gap??? Thanks?

There is a margin of about $200.00 between an image stabilized lens, and the regular lens.....Is the difference of quality worth the price, or not? Many thanks to you!!!

Answers:

1perhaps i already have steady hands, but i picked up the 28-135 IS when i bought my 30D, and didn't really notice anything that special about the IS. if you have a good cam body, like the 30D, which can shoot at high ISO with hardly any noise, in-camera settings help out more than the lens does... that's just my opinion. optimally, try one out somewhere and see what you think.
